Solutions for Haemostasis in the Cath Lab
Quikclot Interventional and QuikClot Radial offer safety, efficacy and effectiveness for the cath lab. They are indicated for the local management and control of surface bleeding from vascular access sites, percutaneous catheters or tubes utilising introducer sheaths up to 12 Fr.
When blood comes in contact with the kaolin-impregnated gauze, the clotting cascade within the blood is accelerated and our studies show that haemostasis has been achieved in as little as 5 minutes and up to 8 minutes in the case of fully heparinised patients following interventional cardiology.
